OpenClaw
Self-hosted open-source personal AI agent that talks over messaging apps and runs actions on your machine
Notes
Free and open-source under the MIT license. OpenClaw self-hosts on macOS, Windows, or Linux and installs via npm, Homebrew, or a direct git clone. Users interact with it through 19+ messaging channels including WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Signal, iMessage, Microsoft Teams, and Matrix. It ships with a ClawHub skill registry of 100+ preconfigured skills for shell commands, file access, and web automation, and keeps configuration and conversation history local for persistent context. Model provider is user-chosen — bring your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or local-model keys — so model usage costs depend on whichever provider you connect.
